Players should also feel some gain in power once the new classes come out the stats change was just the first step in reaching our goal for the game. We may bring these back (if possible), however the plan is to make the player use classes as a way to choose their build, rather than managing tons of equipment. Items received a blanket change to their stats most of the build-centric stats got normalized. we still have 40 or 50 levels (or even more) to go :) Remember, this is still early in the game for you guys. Obviously this was broken and we could not continue down this path, so this is just the first step in getting everything balanced again so we could move forward properly. The regular mobs in Ashfall were about 10 - 20x more powerful than the player and it still felt easy. Many of the power changes were focused on the earlier game, so that low leveled players would have an easier time.Īs for those of you at the end-game, rebalancing all of that content will be a more time consuming task the issue was that the gear at those levels was SEVERELY overpowered, which mean that we were having to inflate all the mob stats to keep things from not feeling like a faceroll. Please bear with us while we continue to tweak everything. Thanks for the feedback guys! We knew there were bound to be a lot of issues since this is a major change in the game. cause you jumped gun, saying something was "Incorrect" in his post. There were choices you could pick from, but now it's rather dull and grey because of only one "Best set", Js. Therefore, there are a couple of "Best set" contrary to what we have now, which is the monochromatic, plain Scale slayer set, because most of the items either got nerfed, or stats were changed/removed. But there are still other ones that can count as a "Best set" if you preferred having max defense, max health, max mana. The max damage stat is only a "Best set" if you wanted max damage. What Betaxd wanted to say was that there were a few combinations that best can suit your stat preference. I beg to differ, Saying there is a "Best Set" is kind of a broad statement.
ofcourse people wouldnt have ALL these items because some of them are hard to get so yeah I guess there wass a small stat variety but with this yeah its just been totally mainstreamed to where you where one set instead of multiple peices of multiple sets having to go out and find out what is optimal instead of just going to one craft spot thats a high level that just hands you off the best gear Rapid sash, shadow boots, necrohen hat, magma abyss staff, furnace spaulders and forge it was the max damage set before this patch. One thing incorrect in your post though is there has always been a BEST SET now its just a different best set. also the fact that the items just got freaking yanked out of my inventory and replaced with dragon stalker gear is lol worthy. Also am kind of dissapointed with the removal of stats on the shadow boots and rapid sash. I feel weaker overall to make it work id buff the crit stat a bit.
